Herbs will be discovered in Jharkhand

Amit Tiwari, Jamshedpur: To deal with serious and fatal diseases in Jharkhand, the central government has also taken the help of herbs. For this, a total of 16 medical colleges from the country have been selected for research in the meeting held in Delhi. Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Medical College from Jharkhand is included. In this, MGM has been asked to pay special attention to herbs. This shows that now the responsibility of doctors is going to increase double. Along with providing treatment, doctors will also be seen searching for herbs in the hilly areas.
In the meeting held in Delhi, MGM Medical College of Jharkhand, India was selected for research on herbs and medicinal plants. In this regard, preparations for research have also been started in MGM Medical College. Doctors will go to different hilly areas of the state and collect herbs and do research on them. For this, all the departments of the college will have their own laboratory. Every department deals with diseases related to its area.

The government has allocated Rs 5.5 crore for the research centre. This allocation will be given in different parts. In the first phase the college has received Rs 25 lakh. With this, the work of developing infrastructure for the center has been started.

Treatment of fatal diseases will be possible

Treatment of cancer, kidney, heart disease and other diseases will be possible through herbs. Research in various medical fields will be done in the Multi-Disciplinary Research Centre. This will include genetic wing, hemoglobino patho lab and treatment and research of non-communicable diseases. Dr. Awadhesh Pandey said that Jharkhand is a hilly state due to which there is a possibility of finding many useful herbs here. Just a few days ago, a research was done on some herbs from the Himalayas of India and Nepal, which were used on patients suffering from many incurable diseases like cancer, blood pressure, sugar, asthma, kidney etc., which started showing effect immediately and Many patients are also getting cured. This is a big research in the world. Dr. Awadhesh Pandey tells that these medicines will be given to some companies of India for making Ayurvedic medicines. The conditions will be that the companies will not sell these medicines in Ayurvedic shops in the open market. This will remain in private supply because this Ayurvedic medicine is currently available in very small quantities and is quite expensive. Dr. Awadhesh Pandey says that while taking Ayurvedic medicine, patients will have to adopt their eating habits properly. This non Foreign Ayurvedic medicines for communicable diseases are very expensive. Therefore, on the assurance of the Jharkhand State Government of India, approval has been given for the discovery of herbs for the treatment of non-communicable diseases in the mountains and forests there, which will provide Ayurvedic medicines for the patients of India. Some medicines will become cheaper on which research is being done like kidney disease, heart, cancer, diabetes, asthma and others.

Many benefits from research

With the establishment of a research center in the medical college, doctors and students will be able to learn a lot. With this, students of Jharkhand along with the country will get an opportunity to do research on medicinal plants. Herbs useful for serious diseases like cancer and diabetes will be discovered. Through this research, solutions to auto-immune diseases or genetic diseases will also be found.

A few months ago, all the medical colleges of the country related to research were advised by the Central Government to prepare a draft each. In this, out of total 160 medical colleges in India, only MGM Medical College was given the first place for preparing a better format. He says that it is a matter of pride that MGM has been chosen so worthy. For this, Dr. Awadhesh Pandey congratulated all the professors and employees of the college.
